A days worth of nothing!

Just a short story. Or you might call it a complaint.
So I've been looking for a job for a while now. Something marketing related. Went to a couple of interviews. All an all the usual stuff you know?

Today was different. It's not the first time I attend this type of interview or asessament day but I need to share my thoughts because probably many of you encountered this.
I will not give any company names either.

Long story short, so you get there and you need to go through several test's team exercises(although it's not a team job), individual exercises, more tests and eventually, a one on one interview and one last test( the manager's interviewing are usually poorly prepared kids), just to find out that it's a badly paid low level general consultant job but you always have a better chance of progressing in the future, or so they say.

As I said, I think many companies invest to much in their HR departments without any thought. You will never get to know a person in a few hours. I can tell you I usually lie a lot and say things about myself and my character which are not entirely accurate or non at all.

Bottom line is, you need this process for high level CEOs but not as a generality or you will end up as a company having a lot of poker faces in your office and not a whole lot of know-how .

Tell me if I'm wrong
