Jacobin article about Democratic Socialism

Glad to hear that!

Now I will just have to wait to find out who will decide how big a parcel can be and if it's not better for the climate if all land was made 'public' and off limits for the peasants anyway :)

Sure statists gonna try and tax it high.

I guess socialists prioritize equality over freedom, while anarchists see it the other way around.

Freedom is still the safest thing we have, right?

It always seems to me like Socialism is constantly failing to be realized exactly for that reason: It prioritizes equality over freedom and
therefore ends up losing both.

Socialists bet on the wrong horse. Hell, they don't even bet on a horse, they go for the violent old dragon, the state!

Giving a violent organization like the state apparatus power over more and more aspects of life is a sure path to totalitarianism, who would have thought?

Anarchists:
'Lets get rid of the oppressive state apparatus!'

Socialists:
'Yes, let us just give the oppressive system power over even more aspects of society...'

Anarchists:
'Whhatt?'

Socialists:
Yes, the bigger it is, the better it withers away!'

Anarchists:
🤦‍♂️
