The song of Moses and Miriam: He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2

The book of exodus tells us how the prophet Moses led the people of Israel through the Red Sea. The Lord after the tenth plague, the death of all the firstborn of the Egyptians, and the first celebration of Easter, ordered to the prophet Moses to begin the journey to the promised land, the land of Canaan; and the Bible tells us that the Israelites camped in front of the sea, and seeing the Egyptian army approaching them, they cried out to Moses for help, and it was then that Moses parted the waters by stretching out his hand. The waters parted and the Israelites passed through as if it were dry land, but the Egyptians followed them behind, and when the waters returned to their normal course, the waters drowned the enemies of the Israelites. And as the Sacred Scriptures explain to us, that day by his mercy and love the Lord, the God of Israel, saved the Israelites from the power of Pharaoh and the Egyptians.
And as a consequence of this extraordinary fact, those who crossed the Red Sea believed in the Lord and his power: "The people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant" Exodus 14:30. The gift of fear of God in the Bible is constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability.
And for this holy fear of God, Moses and the Israelites sang a song in honor of the Lord; this song in the Bible is known as the song of Moses and Miriam, and although this hymn is long, it begins praising the goodness of the Lord in this way:
"I will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver
he has hurled into the sea.
The LORD is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.
The LORD is a warrior;
the LORD is his name" Exodus 15:1-3.
This story teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and to follow his law, despite all the difficulties that the world puts us and its vain desires.
