Music in Our Blood - Boracay meets the World!

Yes, music runs in our families blood. I heard that my grandfather and grandmother could sing well. Then my uncles, aunts and even my mother can sing well. This is only on my mother's side. From my uncles and aunts, it goes down to the cousins. Not all but most (I think it skipped me lol, or well left me a drop). But it got better with nieces and nephews. I have a few of them that could sing very well. My older brother's daughter sings wonderfully. Maybe I will share her talent too. My daughter is a Bachelor of Music graduate major in music education and minor in voice, (so that is where my share went....hmm).
But for now, I want to share a certain nephew, his singing talent. I had to ask his permission. I have another nephew kind of a famous singer but will ask his permission too.
This nephew has a different kind of style in singing. His family lives in Boracay and they own a resort there. He loves to make his own songs. Do gigs and jamming. His name is ArmandTj as known on FB. Mid 30's still single because he wants to travel the world, a traveling nomad with just a backpack. Travels light. He meets with friends that he met in Boracay so he stays with them. Does singing gigs and jamming so he earns money. How I envy him. He has been to Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Zurich and I think he is in Barcelona now.
Here are some pictures of taken a while back and the last one is with my mom at my home. He rarely attends family affairs because he is busy traveling or writing songs, staying in Boracay more.

He has made 2 CDs, so being a proud aunt I bought some and had him sign it, to show my support. But they are really good. I don't know what kind of genre you could place his singing. Maybe jazz? Reggae or upbeat? Someday he maybe famous and I would be proud to say I have his firsts CDs!

Living in Boracay he made a song for the place, a sort of Boracay anthem. I would like to share the song.

A few years back in 2014 he joined a songwriting contest for Sony, "We are one - Sony" to celebrate the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. There were contestants all over the world and a few other Filipinos. They win by voting and I am proud to say my nephew won. The contestants send their song to the promoters and 24 were chosen out of hundreds. I think there were 2 or 3 other Filipinos also.

Armand TJ recently represented the Philippines and won the ''We Are One - SONY'' contest (www.weareonesony.com), where he will be flying to Brazil on July 7-18 in Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro.

He plans on performing the song along with World Cup fans from all over the world in Brazil, which will be documented on film for SONY.
