How to Play Sonic The Hedgehog 2 On Your Computer (No Download)

A few days ago I made this post: https://steemit.com/music/@vegansilverstack/a-gift-to-90-s-kids-amazing-guy-who-does-acapellas-of-our-favorite-video-game-themes about a guy who does awesome a capellas of old 90s video game themes.

I was curious if some of these games could be played on the computer, and so I searched for one of my all time favorites: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992) and I found it it here: http://www.playretrogames.com/835-sonic-the-hedgehog-2 . It's the real game too. Not some cheap knock-off (I've seen those). The cool thing is you can fullscreen it.

1. It's really hard to get used to the controls (a,s,d,f are all jump while your arrow keys control movement like forward and backward.) It's especially hard to jump and land on things that are moving. With a Genesis controller, I would have no problem doing that even after 10 years (maybe more?)

2. It's kind of glitchy: Hats off to whoever put the game online, that's awesome, but there was a big glitch when I got to Aquatic Ruin Zone 1. It might have been that I was holding down the forward arrow, but then when the level started, it was automatically moving me backward and I couldn't move forward easily. It was like 90% force was being put against me moving forward. I couldn't find a way to get to the nearest thing to die, so I had to end there. It was unfortunate, and maybe tomorrow I will do it again (I doubt it).

3. When I was little, I would always choose to use Sonic by himself. Tails would always get in my way and make me mess up lol. You don't have that option to omit him on this website.

In the end, it was fun, but I wanted to get a lot further without that kind of thing happening to me. I know they sell a console thing with like 50 games pre-loaded into it (and that would be sweet) but then I would have to buy a controller, etc.

So if you want to relive the 90s, here you go. But don't say I didn't warn you, this shit is highly addictive :) haha!
