Where is the soul mentioned in the bible? Explanation and analysis of the biblical meaning of the soul.

There are some verses in the bible, the old testament more precisely, that make mention of the soul: "For God alone my soul waits in silence; for him comes my salvation", Psalm 62.1; "But if from there you will seek the Lord your God, you will find him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul" Deuteronomy 4:29.
The concept of soul is practically absent in the teachings of Jesus, he only speaks to us of the soul in a few ocasions, when he refers to the first commandment: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" in Mark 12:30; in Matthew 10:28: "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell"; and in Luke 12:20: "But God said to him, ´You fool! this night your soul will be required of you. Then whose will those things be which you have provided?´"

It is important to note that the concept of soul in the Bible is not equivalent to the Greek concept of the soul.
Aristoteles studies the soul in his book, "About the soul"; Aristotle defines the soul as "the perfection of the body", "the first mobil motor". Greek philosophy explains that happiness is the natural desire of the soul and that by this desire, we practice virtue.
The soul naturally guides man towards virtue and from this, the life in community is born, explain Aristotle and Plato; the soul explains the social behavior of man according to the greek authors.
But in the teachings of Jesus it is different, the man struggles between the flesh and the spirit:
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money", Matthew 6:24.; "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the spirit, set their minds on the things of the spirit. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so." Romans 8: 5-7
The concept of soul in the bible is accessory, that is, there is no theory or analysis of the soul. In the bible the real behavior of people is define by the spirit (righteousness, Matthew 7:12) or the flesh (the sin). The bible explains that all men are subject to the grace of god, his providence, that is to say the spirit. The spirit is the divine substance according to Thomas Aquinas. The substance of God is the wisdom itself.
It is God's desire that all men be wise like him, but we men have the ability to choose for one (spirit) side or the other (flesh). In short, many of the Greek ideas of the soul are not applicable to the thought of the bible, its direct application would imply the existence of a "living according to the soul": "Happiness is the reward of virtue", Aristotle. This idea does not exist in the bible and could lead to the existence of heresies (teaching of the error).
