This book is about the roots and beginnings of Northern Soul.
It started in Manchester, Northern England in 1963 at a cofee bar club called The Twisted Wheel.
It was the DJ Roger Eagle who played amazing new emerging Blues, RnB and soul 45's and LP tracks, which the clubs clientele danced too.
The club goers were MODS following the trendy fashion scene that began in London.
The club was the powerhouse for all-nighters on Saturdays, beginning a trend that lead to the Wigan Casino and beyond to today's Northern Soul scene, which has become a mainstream genre these days.
Its even big in Japan.
