I don't like Bezos. He only needs a cat to be Dr Evil. But, he is using his money to the advantage of society. Just like all other wealthy people. It's just that they make so much money, that the 1% they keep for their own pleasure buys a gigantic yacht, and that makes John Doe green with envy. As a result the many times more they reinvest into society in various forms are then conveniently overlooked.
Not only is Jeff Bezos providing a living for millions of people (including affiliates), he's also making life easier for millions more. Take him and his peers out of society, and tell me how you enjoy the darkest of the dark ages.
Paying taxes discourage entrepreneurs from finding solutions. Look at communist USSR, there were no incentives for anyone. They could not put a proper bread toaster together as result.
Someone had to take civilians into space eventually. Mankind does need a backup for when Christians finally fuck up the earth. Relying on the government to do it is simply not feasible, voters will complain. Look at how quick and far Musk had gotten without government interference.
Every time Musk or Bezos or Branson takes someone up into space, they learn vital lessons of how to accommodate civilians. There may come a time when mankind will need to evacuate earth fast, like when a meteorite is about to strike over 24 hours like in the movies, or WW3 breaks out, in order for mankind to survive.
Those three billionaires are now busy making it possible. And their technology they develop benefits us all. Bashing the hand that feeds you directly or indirectly is just dumb.
Tax them, and they'll employ less people. Indirectly they thus do pay taxes, via those employees. Employing people brings downs crime and makes it possible for people to study and become the next Musk, Gates, Bezos, or Branson.
So maybe Bezos is like a crime fighter, in his own evil way.
