The Spaco project just updated their numerous investors and supporters with their roadmaps for the year detailing what they have in store for the year 2018
In this article I am going to highlight them while we wait for the execution
Please bear in mind that the STO (Spaco token offer) is coming up next month and once the date is confirmed, I will be let readers know
I will be using Spaco and SPO interchangeably as they are one and the same thing . SPO is the symbol for Spaco
SPACO, is a distributed next-generation network protocol, which significantly improves on the current HTTP/HTTPS internet protocols. SPACO opens the floodgates and allows anyone to be a network operator instead of all resources being controlled by few industry giants. Network resources and integrity are protected using our redundancy and smart contracts. SPACO have a great advantage being distributed along with its reliability and also its privacy protection in relation to the current Internet.
Spaco wants to build a distributed, encrypted and smarter network that can evolve itself. SPACO is a series of protocols and applications that will run on parallel networks like Skywire
Spaco has done code refactoring on the existing teller system to make it more flexible and it can now support more coins easily
TELLER is new way to instantly purchase coins/tokens without having to utilise exchanges and pay withdrawal fees or delays currently experienced.
SPO Teller will be the main method when distributing SPO token. The SPO teller system marks its own stability and convenience by letting user achieve trading with SKY, BTC, ETH, LTC, MONERO mention but a few

In addition a mobile wallet is already in testing phase to support multiple coins based on the skyledger platform. So all tokens are coins on the skyledger platform like MDL, Metalicoin, Solar Banker, Kitty cash and many others will be supported
The SPO Wallet will include an OTC function alongside with the teller and teller affiliates service that will be fully available to users as desktop and mobile apps
With the wallets, you will be able to earn token hours . these are tangible and tradeable asset that will be receive for holding SPO in your SPACO wallets. Similar to staking, every SPO held in your wallet will receive 1 Token Hour for every hour held. ( 100 SPO, held for 1 hour, will receive 100 Token Hours). These Token Hours will also be used to pay for SPACO network assets, like transaction fees, storage and content.
SPO UNLIMITED STORAGE SERVICE
The storage system of Spaco is called Nebula
It’s based on Skycoin’s CXO, DHT, Merkle DAG . Nebula is not only a distributed file system, but also a distributed storage system and can replace current day applications like DropBox, Bittorrent and CDN (Content Delivery Network), while also providing storage APIs for the Apps that will run on the SPACO network. While distributed business are still in the infancy of their adoption, we plan to help increase the awareness and uptake via the SPACO network to show the importance of decentralization and net neutrality
The SPO storage layer is the essence of of SPO smart networking. This network is formed by nodes that is hosted and run by individual miner
Basic storage services, CDN services, API services and live streaming are hosted in one place.
This will provide instant availability to users while it maintains supreme quality on its high speed and limitless storage space
SPO NAME SERVICE
Every service individual on SPO network will be assigned a unique public key for encrypting and verifying user data
SPO SITE BUILING SERVICE
Site building under SPO will greatly benefit from SPO storage. There will be no more server rental site crash or DDOS attack
SPO CUSTOMIZED BROWSING EXPERIENCE

SPO MINER
Plans are advanced stage for a SPO miner. The SPO miner work as a single node the whole SPO network. It is the buffering node to the whole distributed SPO network while it provides storage space for SPO users
The SPO miner will be able to serve SPO and SKYCOIN . In other words, having a SPO miner, you will be able to mint SKYCOIN and SPO Token.

SPO DECENTALIZED EXCHANGE
SPO DEX will be running and create a solid foundation to support skycoin family trading
This platform will also support mainstream crypto-currencies e.g. BTC, ETH
SPO REBRANDING
The official website will be completely updated 3 different white papers (the economic, anti-spam and nebula storage white papers) SPO Roadmaps, Wallets and new developments within the project.
The website updates will also include information about the STO (SPO token offer) and these should be ready in early march
There will also be a new logo to represent the spirit of the project
SPO will release an official branding guidance as a community manual for people who share the same vision as SPO to participate in building the SPO brand
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
A lot of companies are in talks with SPO to partner and collaborate in some projects
One of the largest search engines in China is very interested in Obelisk (sky/spaco distributed consensus algorithm)
) and are interested in the use of the Obelisk in their service management
The SPO hardware team has been working hard and tested many boards for use in nebula
There are also talks ongoing between SPO and a genome company with the possibility of storing gene data on SPO Nebula system
This will require large amount of storage and only Nebula will be able to provide each record with about 90 GB
A partner project is also in discussion with SPO to provide storage and video forwarding service on Nebula
Details of these projects cannot be disclosed at this moment but once the fine lines of the agreement are sorted and signed, the details will be provided
