So you're trying to combat spam and plagiarism which is a noble endeavor indeed.

But what about those whales and upvote bots that are basically being paid to "discover interesting content"?

Doesn't that invalidate the entire concept of being rewarded for creating and curating good content? People just use money and accumulated influence to determine which posts are worth attention and that simply cannot be right.

So what can be done about that kind of manipulation?

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.
