The creativity of excuses

in spanish •  7 years ago  (edited)

It is really impressive how human beings know exactly what we must do to achieve success in some areas of our life and yet we prefer to extend that path to success using what we learned since we began to articulate words, excuses ... the most surprising and creative are those of the preschool level, because no matter how imaginative they are they are said with a solemn face with the faithful conviction that they will be absolutely accepted by our parents and in a more risky way by the teacher; I remember that once a cousin ended up telling his mother that he did not want to go to school because he had wind pains, hehe ... now that we are adults we still remember him and laughed out loud at such a language copied from the premiums of older, evidently with the innocence of those times. When we reach adolescence, we invent a complete script of excuses after the first obligation of the day, from the personal hygiene, the obligations of the order of our room, the imminent math exam, the English translation or any of the evaluations we prefer. Stop last until there is no turning back. Thinking about it, the administration of excuses requires a delicate mental work, even more when we are adults and we must comply with social commitments, medical appointments, school meetings, or the schedule of a commission from which you could not escape because your name came to light in the brain of a "very considerate" work colleague, not to mention going to the gym ... I do not have time, my schedule kills me, it is very expensive, I can not find the one who accompanies me, I do not like the instructor, It is very far, I do not have sports clothes, I am too fat to go to the gym.
I believe that there is a connection between the time we spend traveling from one thought to another and the possible excuses that we are filing for not taking charge of our own lives, daring to "do and be" instead of just working routinely to "have" It depends on whether we live in the present time, whether we value today as a finite resource and whether we believe we can make a difference.20150913_081133-1.jpg
