Hello again steemians after several days inactive due to the work I again present a post drawing, this time with a graphite portrait that I did a few years ago, I must say that this was one of my first works with this technique.

Hola de nuevo steemians después de varios días inactivo debido al trabajo vuelvo nuevamente a presentarles un post de dibujo, esta vez con un retrato a grafito que hice hace unos cuantos años atrás, debo decir que este fue uno de mis primeros trabajos con esta técnica.

In the past after having experienced various techniques in the area of animation, I felt the need to take a further step in the evolution of my skills in art, I decided then to enter the world of portraiture, it was a whole world to discover and new skills to develop, I chose this beautiful girl because her look inspired tranquility and peace, it would be a good start to try to convey those emotions in a drawing and prove to myself that I could with this new stage.

En el pasado después de haber experimentado diversas técnicas en el área de animación, sentí la necesidad de dar un paso más en la evolución de mi habilidades en el arte, decidí entonces adentrarme en el mundo del retratismo, era todo un mundo por descubrir y nuevas destrezas por desarrollar, elegí a esta hermosa chica ya que su mirada inspiraba tranquilidad y paz, sería un buen inicio para tratar de transmitir esas emociones en un dibujo y probarme a mí mismo que podía con esta nueva etapa.

Drawing development / Desarrollo del dibujo ✎

Drawing made with traditional graphite technique using 2H, HB, 2B and 4B pencils on a letter-size opaline paper with a grammage of 200 gr/m².

Dibujo realizado con técnica tradicional a grafito usando lápices 2H, HB, 2B y 4B sobre un papel de opalina tamaño carta con gramaje de 200 gr/m².

Step one / Paso uno

Guide lines are made with the 2H pencil, establishing the fit of the face, and its proportions are determined, making the necessary corrections.

Se realizan líneas guías con el lápiz 2H, estableciendo el encaje del rostro, y se determinan las proporciones del mismo, haciendo las correcciones necesarias.

Step two / Paso dos

The guide lines are blurred and clarified, at the same time a base layer of graphite is applied with the HB pencil, and some lines, eyes, mouth, nose are reviewed.

Se difumina y aclaran las líneas guías, a la vez se aplica una capa base de grafito con el lápiz HB, y se repasa algunas líneas, ojos, boca, nariz.

Step three / Paso tres

The middle areas of the drawing and the shadows are determined, interspersing the HB and 2B pencils respectively.

Se determinan las zonas medias del dibujo y las sombras, intercalando los lápices HB y 2B respectivamente.

Step four / Paso cuatro

The features of the face are detailed, such as the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth, using pencils 2B and 4B respecting the areas where the glitters will go.

Se detallan los rasgos del rostro, como son los ojos, cejas, nariz y boca, usando los lápices 2B y 4B respetando las zonas donde irán los brillos.

Step five / Paso cinco

Once the features of the face have been fine-tuned, the hair is made using pencils 2B and 4B, making fine and long lines, following the natural waves of the hair, to give volume and naturalness to it.

Una vez afinado los rasgos del rostro, se procede a realizar el cabello usando los lápices 2B y 4B, haciendo líneas finas y largas, siguiendo las ondas naturales del cabello, para dar volumen y naturalidad al mismo.

Step six / Paso seis

With the help of the mouldable eraser, light zones are created and reinforced with white charcoal, shadows are further accentuated and the last details are fine-tuned.

Con ayuda del borrador moldeable se crean zonas de luz y se refuerzan con el carboncillo blanco, se acentúan aún más las sombras y se realizan afinan los últimos detalles.

The next gif is composed of 6 frames with different enlarged sections. It is created by combining in separate parts two images of the same file with different zoom.

El siguiente gif está compuesto por 6 cuadros con diferentes secciones ampliadas. Se crea al combinar por partes separadas dos imágenes del mismo archivo con distintos zoom.
