March 26th is National Spinach Day and the day we remember he is strong to finish because he eats his spinach.

While doing the role of Mork on the Mork and Mindy shore, Robin Williams also played in the Popeye movie in 1980 with Shelley Duvall. I remember watching this one at the movie theater and having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the movie. Water movies never really sit well with little kids. Or is it that little kids never really sit well through water movies.

National spinach day is the day we sit back and eat our green vegetables. Spinach is high in fiber and low in fat. Spinach is high in carotenoids, which your body can turn into vitamin A. Also vitamin C and vitamin K1. It also contains folate or vitamin B9 vital for pregnant women and for normal cellular function and tissue growth. And as we all heard Spinach is an excellent source of Iron that helps create hemoglobin, which brings oxygen to your body’s tissues. Spinach also contains calcium essential for bone health and important in the nervous system, heart, and muscles.

Maybe you won't be as strong as Popeye but for a natural supply of vitamins and nutrition spinach is a good choice. I have a whole bag of spinach at home and I'm thinking of making some spinach tomato pasta.
