Spiritual teachings: To redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.

The gift of conversion is the passage from a life full of sins to a life of righteousness ("Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", Matthew 7:12): "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near", Matthew 4:17; "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance", Luke 5:32.
In the early days of the Church, many converts were followers of the Law of Moses, Jesus explains to us that the Law is impossible to fulfill in its entirety, the Law is limited to making us know sin but does not free us from the concupiscences of the flesh , that is to say, from idolatry to money: "Through the law we become conscious of our sin.", Romans 3:20. The law is made for those who live according to the flesh, not for those who live according to the spirit ("For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ´Love your neighbor as yourself´", Galatians 5:14)
The letter to the Galatians explains that accepting Jesus implies a change of look and heart: "To redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.", Galatians 4:5

The aim of spirituality is to achieve the likeness to God, but this likeness can only be in essence, God is wisdom itself. The similarity in metaphysics occurs in the participation in essence, the essence of man is reason and the essence of God is wisdom, spirituality is the change of reason into wisdom. To receive the adoption to sonship implies to live the spiritual gifts inherited from the holy spirit (the spiritual gifts are perfections: "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect", Matthew 5:48), and thus achieve eternal life, the worship of wisdom ("This is eternal life that they know you the only true God", John 17:3).
