The spiritual life: "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom", 1 Corinthians 1:25

The Bible explains that just as there are human forces, there are also spiritual forces. Paul in his letters to the Corinthians explains to us with a metaphor that these invisible forces are beyond the will of man: "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength", 1 Corinthians 1:25

The virtue or spiritual gift of wisdom cannot be acquired through study or practice, as occurs with prudence and justice, this are natural virtues, related with the soul. Wisdom is an infused virtue, a charisma, a virtue related with the spirit. It is the divine that with his mercy makes us similar to him.
Paul tells us about a wisdom and a human strength that has to do with knowing how to do things: the doctor is wise in medicine, the architect is wise in the construction of the building.
Just as in everyday life a judge sends the police to serve a sentence, God grants the wisdom to the wise to comply with a sentence of providence. Just as the streets in a city must be watched, so do the "streets of destiny" and future. That is the function of the sage, the seer, the prophet.
When we go to an unknown city, what do we do? We see the guide or the map of the city. That is what happens with time, there is a map and that map are the prophecies, the visions. And that is what human forces cannot change, it is as if when we arrived in an unknown city we wanted to change the direction of a street, we can choose which street to take if we want to get to a certain place. If a prophecy is true, anything we do to avoid it only reinforces it. Avoid pride and ask God for mercy.
In many religious sectors there is a very deep fear for the secrets of Fatima and for the prophecies of Saint Malachy. We have to accept these things with poverty of spirit and fear of God: the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. We must, to understand the mysteries of destiny and providence, that the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.
