What are the blessings of God?

What do you think is the most requested blessing that those in the world pray for? Despite "world peace" being the most verbalised by those in the public eye, to those who pray alone, "money" is considered the most desirable. It is their saviour. It is the only thing that will give them the sense of freedom that they seek. The system demands it, thus they have no choice but to make it their first priority.

Money, though, has no intrinsic value. It cannot love, nor can it make anyone's life better. People can buy things with it, but it can never free them from wanting more things, or make them feel safe because they have enough. In fact, the perceived worth of money continuously declines, specifically to prevent people from ever having enough. Money is the vice of the greedy, and it ensures that those who desire it are also eventually enslaved to it.

Money is also an idol. To pray for money is to consider money to be greater than God. Had a person prayed for God Himself, He may have given them something far more valuable and everlasting than a piece of paper with a IOU written upon it. But, let's face it, the fallen, even if they believe in God, do not believe that God will save them, just that he will bless them if they ask. And this He will do, of course, but only until the time of the end comes, and then such prayers will fall upon deaf ears, as a new reality is given birth to.

So what is a better blessing? The ability to heal others, perhaps? Even Jesus demonstrated this ability, and many people loved him for it, but the love of the people was not what he wanted. He came to bring the Truth to the world, that all might be saved, not to become an idol to be worshipped. He even said to his disciples that they believed because of his miracles, but that the day would come when their were those who would believe without the miracles. It turned out that the miracles were a stumbling block to his followers. They considered them to be of more value than the reconciliation with God that he sought to promote. In the end, he saw that he had no choice but to die, because he realised that his message was meant for a future generation, that would see his Truth as greater than his presence.

Even today, we see the outcome of the healers in the modern world. Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, for example, claims that Jesus Christ heals through him. For his efforts he has become nothing less than a billionaire. Yes, a billionaire, who is absolutely loved by his parishioners. But does it sound like he has a truly godly relationship, when he actually charges his many mainly poor parishioners large sums of money in order to be healed?

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits." - Jesus

Surely it is enough that those who are joined to the Lord are blessed by the Lord. Is it right to seek to be blessed by the fallen world as well? To take from those who deserve to not only be healed, but to be saved as well? Where is their saviour in such an arrangement?

No, the Lord heals his own, and that is sufficient. This is not a time for the sons of God to lord it over others, but to bring them back to God. And not through miracles, but through Truth, so that the Lord may heal them and save them as well.

So, the blessings of God are indeed healing, but of the self, not of others, since the latter is the path of those who stand as an idol before God. Instead, it is the Truth that sets mankind free, that mends his relationship with his Father, that saves him, and heals him.

It is the Truth that is the true blessing of God to the world, and it is this Truth that we should all be praying for. Praying for money will only prolong the system, but praying for the Truth will eventually save your life and set you free of the system for good.
