The Swastika – A Pure Spiritual Symbol

This article titled, "The Swastika - A Pure Spiritual Symbol" (see link below) is an interesting ... but also if you're as informed as I like to believe myself to be, an antagonising read. The following text is my comment on it.

What the article says about the meaning and significance of the Indian Swastika may well be true. I have no reason to dispute that. The article's understanding of Hitler's so called 'misappropriation' of it is however, clearly biased.

I sincerely doubt Hitler would have based his Hakenkreuz on the Buddhist Swastika (Sanscrit: Svastika) IF he had no respect for its' original meaning or wanted to pervert or undermine that meaning in the service of darkness or evil. I mean, the fellow was not only a self-respecting intellectual but also a talented albeit disenfranchised artist who painted nativity scenes for Christs' sake!

I know what it's like to be a disenfranchised artist and I've never been such a good goy boy as to even want to paint the nativity so give the guy (and also me please) a break!

To believe this narrative about Hitler's character is to swallow hook line and sinker the pernicious propaganda and demonisation of Hitler and the NSGWP (who identified as 'Socialists' not 'Nazis') that has been so mercilessly and relentlessly/systematically levelled by megalomaniacal Racist Tribal Supremacists and their co-opts who've audaciously accused those who were Patriots for their nation and people of being, what in fact, they themselves, are.

On the contrary. I imagine Hitler had a great deal of respect for the spiritual significance of the Ura Manji or Swastika and its power for good and light and that's exactly why he saw reason to bring his contextual (relevant to his time and place) interpretation of it into the service of the very dark and dire plight of his people.

Similarly, the article's conflation of Hitler's respect for The Aryan Ideal with notions of White Supremacy is text book Fashion Victim gullibility. Alternatively, it's pre-meditated. A conscious complicity with the narrative of the Zionist/Communist propaganda invective.

Perhaps, at the end of the 4th paragraph in the below article, rather than asking the reader the question,

"Should Hitler still be allowed to triumph over the minds of men, even in death?"

The article should instead ask,

"Should the pernicious propaganda of a Zionist invective still, even in death but also in life, be allowed to pervert the truth of a man, the meaning of a movement that aspired to improve their society and the spirit of an entire people?"

Besides. When that thing is in the wheel of a motor bike, it makes no difference which angle its on or even if it's an Omote Manji 'cause it's ALL GOOD.

The swastika in India was traditionally seen as a solar symbol — a symbol of life, light, generosity and abundance. Was closely connected with the cult of the God Agni. It is mentioned in Ramayana. In the shape of a swastika was placed a wooden tool for obtaining the sacred fire.

I covered some basics about Mdm Blavatsky, Gestalt psychology and the Theosophy movement while studying a painting by Kandinsky (I can't even remember the name of) for a major in Art History about 30 years ago but I'm certainly not an authority on the Indian Swastika so thanks for your feedback. Interesting.

My comment, is based largely on my travels, intuition and speculation from an independent artist's perspective. It intrigued me to come across variables of the Ura and Omote Manji in red, light blue, yellow and even dazzling gold leaf while travelling in parts of China and Vietnam and to also get a mix of responses when I asked locals what the iconography pertains to?

However mixed, all responses alluded to the spiritual light of a higher human consciousness that emphasises the positives of the human condition. Happiness. Prosperity. Contextual/Responsible Freedom. Cyclic/Seasonal/Balanced Industry. Independence. Truth. (n.b. the aforementioned rather common sense qualification of 'Freedom' and 'Industry' is my own bearing/interpretation on the feedback).

I may of course be wrong but my personal interpretation of Hitler's swastika rotated on its axis is (until I'm convinced otherwise), a culturally and contextually sensible representation of a 'Quickening' (i.e. spiritual but also temporal) towards these (Aryan) ideals.
