Meditation For The Day~Light For The Darkness.

Merely taking a look at the goings on in the world that the gross, thick darkness the prophets talked about is very much here with us. At such times, it is much more important that we learn to discern the voices around us. First, the human soul needs renewal and therefore, until it has been totally renewed, cannot be relied upon for direction, particularly when it comes to spiritual things. The untrained emotion of man can also not be relied upon since the fall of man. Therefore, where should we find help?

The Psalmist writes saying in Psm 36:9 "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light." There are two lights; the first is objective, while the second is subjective. Meaning that until we truly hunger and thirst after righteousness of God, it will be difficult for anyone to walk in the objective light of God. All those who desire to walk with the Lord wholeheartedly, are the only ones who see the need for, and seek after the light of God.

There is a fundamental need for light to know the mind of God, and to apprehend it. When we truly desire to know the difference between what is of our soul and what is of the Spirit, to know the difference between what is divine and what is human, the difference between what is earthly and what is heavenly. To know when we are being led of the Spirit and when we are led by our base and limited senses. How does one know what enamates from the carnal man and what comes from the spiritual man? It takes God's light to help us discern one from the other.
