The Art Of Letting Go

Often times we hear on the internet or social media about new age spirituality and the art of “letting go” and how it can possibly help us grow and even heal from past experiences we may have had that hurt us. So what is it about letting go that really moves us closer to the truth then? When we take a deeper look within ourselves, we find that many patterns and scenarios that happen in our lives are meant to test us so we can learn to make better choices and decisions. Letting go is essentially the state of being less reactive to when potentially negative things happen, while remaining open and forgiving to be more receptive & connected to the present moment.

When we let go of the fears and start to accept what happens to us, it empowers us by taking full responsibility for our actions and standing with integrity in our choices. It also gives us a chance to get our perspectives outside of all the emotions and feelings that come with life’s challenges. When we surrender into the flow, we can more easily embrace everything as it is, and it is likely for us to be much happier when we let things go and continue to maintain mindfulness in the present moment. It takes discernment and discipline in order for us to do this, we must hold ourselves accountable for the choices we make in the present.
