Is SINGING the same thing as WORSHIP? Worship redefined. DARE TO WORSHIP!

Is singing the same thing as worship? NO!

Worship is not singing; it is a lifestyle.

Why then do we sing songs in our worship service? You may not have thought about it before but consider this: one primary reason we sing is to condition our heart to receive from God. It is not a bad thing that we sing to condition our heart, it is very acceptable to God. Singing is a tiny aspect of worship. Singing makes a lot of difference in your life. When you sing about the awesomeness of God and His glorious power, your consciousness awakens to the fact that God is indeed that mighty. It helps your faith to receive what God has already given you. The song do not move the hand of God, it only moves your mind. That is a good thing in itself but it can get better.

Worship is much deeper than what our system of organized congregation make of it. You must have seen someone who trains his voice, but still lives in sin. He is no worshipper at all! You can sing melodiously but you are not worshiping. You can create an atmosphere that touches emotions with your good voice, wonderful song selection and with the aid of a good sound system but ain't worshipping!

WORSHIP REDEFINED

Psalms 148
"Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created, and he established them for ever and ever — He issued a decree that will never pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women, old men and children."

Permit me to ask, how does the water, ocean depth, lightening and hail, snow and cloud, even stormy wind plus mountain and hill praise God? Is it by singing?

No! Its by doing what they were created to do!

Wild animals too; so the Lion praises God by chasing other animals in the forest as its prey. My friend, you praise God by fulfilling destiny and manifesting His glory.

Worship is not just a position you take, Worship is a decision you make. Worship is not just music, in fact, worship is more than just a dance. I define worship as:

1. The Manifestation of the Sons of God and destiny fulfilment.

2. Worship is leading sinners to Christ.

3. Worship is lifting one another.

4. Worship is taking a stand for righteousness.

5. Worship is indeed becoming like Jesus. "For the father sleekest such to worship Him".John:23-24
