you should play splinterlands for the gaming experience and NOT for the reward
SPLINTERLANDS is a game for entertainment , not a financial instrument
if you wanna make money out of splinterlands you should NOT play the game
there are other ways to make money out of it like trading cards , attending tournaments etc etc

My point is it is no longer possible to grow through gameplay when the rewards for silver one don't even include new cards. I don't know about you but spending thousands of dollars on an annual basis to play a game for fun starts to get a little tiresome

first of all...rewards in silver do include cards
actually rewards in bronze do include cards
so i think you exaggerate a bit on that
as far as it concerns in growing your account...how on earth is it possible to grow your account depending just in rewards...i mean ok ,you can do it step after step after step but what you say is not possible in short term
thirdly ,who said about spending THOUSANDS of dollars?? on annual basis???.....come no bro gimme a break...spend thousands of dollars to play for fun???.....come on now
all of those things you say have no basis and obviously show to me that you are one of the many new players in the game who got in during the hype last year ....most probably cause you thought you're gonna make a fortune out of it -- WHICH of course is NOT possible
Splinterlands is a game like all the other games....which you should play to have fun and entertain yourself
according to what you invest you can get stronger cards and compete with stronger opponents....that's all
if you wanna make money out of the game you look the wrong way

Lol, new player who joined. Sorry I have been around since 2018, you could have seen that by looking me up. Let's see. ,Beta cards, promo, untamed, dice and now chaos. What the cost to get each edition in the league you choose
I was round in the old days of getting 120 rewards CARDS for season rewards, clearly that is not sustainable. Not saying all the changes are bad, but the frustration for many long time sub diamond level players is real.

according to your words you are an old timer though you seem to me a bit confused
maybe i misunderstood your writing ,maybe i dont understand exactly your point but the way you think of Splinterlands i believe is wrong
if you say to me that after all this time you simply dont like the game i will accept it...i do respect it and that's it
cause at the end of the day Splinterlands is a game....you either like the game or not
but , you see, to be upset for rewards its a bit odd for an experienced Splinterlander
yes it a play to earn game but i believe this comes second to a gamer
if you play the game for the experience you have no interest on the rewards so whatever comes is acceptable
yes i will agree with you that in old days the rewards were bigger but i 'm sincere with you...i simply don't care
on the other hand if you are involved in splinterlands to make money , i believe playing the game is the wrong way
there are so many ways to make money in Splinterlands and by just playing the game i believe you follow the wrong path so there the frustration comes!

It's all good. From time to time I get very frustrated with the constant pressure of needing more and better cards to compete. It's a constant pressure of upgrade and expansion and if you don't have them it leads to frustration when playing and being out matched by cards, not lineup. Some days when I get bad rewards I feel sorry for myself and vent.

Honestly not sure. I don't think I understand how much investment would required to play at a good level. I will probably check it out, but not very deep.
