I haven't done a post like this in a while so I thought I'd update you all! So these 2 photos are almost 6 years apart. On the left I was 21 and had just started working as a personal trainer... little did I know that shortly after that picture was taken I would have to go into hospital, firstly with severe leg pains and secondly with gastroenteritis. This all coincided with my M.E./CFS diagnosis shortly after. I was reliant on walking aids for nearly 4 years and was very weak.
On the right I'm now 27 and a completely different person. I had no idea that the most part of my 20's would be taken over by ill health and I may have appeared ok to people but behind closed doors it was a very different story. I've made gradual improvements though still suffer to this day. I know there will be big changes in 2019 and I'm prepared to take risks. In some ways it makes me sad that the past 6 years I feel I've hit a major plateau but in other ways I feel I've achieved alot. The support on here has been amazing and kept me going at times. I typically talk more about my health journey on my 'A New Me' page as I felt I used to waffle on alot on here. The point I'm making is that I'm a much stronger person now and things are looking up. I know there's regular setbacks but the signs are positive 😊
