Calisthenic Basics: Push-Ups

in sport •  6 years ago

This is the second video of new series - calisthenic basics - where i show you how to perform the basic movements of calisthenics.
How to push-up:
Start with placing the hands a bit wider than shoulderwidth and protract your scapula activly. Get a bit of an outward twist on your hands, to build a tension and turn your elbows to your torso. Start the movement with letting the scapula get contracted, then start bending your elbows in an 75° to 45° to your torso. The forearm should be nearly vertical in every direction. Continue until you reach the ground with your chest. You may hold it a second, then push yourself up until you reach the starting position. Repeat.

As the Push-Up can be mastered very easy, you can make it harder with a 1-5 second pause at the bottom position.
