Legendary chessplayer Garry Kasparov comes back to competition

Kasparov comes back after 12 year retirement. He will be competing in the Rapid & Blitz competition being held in St. Louis August 14. -19., which is the part of the Grand Chess Tour.

Garry Kasparov became the youngest world chess Champion in 1985 at the age of 22. He ruled as the world chapion FIDE till 1993. He continued as a world champion of Professional Chess Asociation till 2000. After retirement in 2005 he became a politician critisizing Putin's regime in Russia.
