Kudos for Holloway for stepping up (however Ortega was offered to take this as well) and this would definitely be his biggest trophy yet,BUT....
The most important question is: can Khabib close the distance and score a take down?
If you saw what happened to Barboza, then you know the answer is yes.Holloway might be the better striker, but it won't matter. If Khabib could walk through Barboza's kicks and punches,he will easily do the same with Holloway.
Now when it comes to their groundgame, many people argue that Holloway has excellent jiu jitsu and very crafty from his back.Maybe, but the problem with this lies in Khabib's wrestling. If you watch his fights,in most cases he doesn't take his opponents down to the ground (so they could pull some submission from there) he PINS THEM TO THE CAGE where the only option for them is to survive and try to get back on their feet which drains a lot of energy meanwhile in the process they take a lot of punishment.
Of course anything can happen,Max can clip Khabib and finish the fight,or take it to the 5th and win with more significant strikes, but at this point we think the victor will be The Eagle.
It’s so sad about Tony getting injured. I thought he was going to beat khabib. I don’t know if max will, I agree with what you have said. When khabib takes max down what can he do from there. We know Tony can work him for his back, but not sure if max can. We know that max is gona bring it! I’m still really looking forward to this :)
