The fight between Donnie "Ahas" Nietes and Sikazuto Ioka of Japan for the vacant WBO super flyweight title is already approved by the WBO and it will be on December 31 at Macau, China.
Nietes, who is already 36 and the number 1 contender of WBO, fought his fellow Filipino fighter number 2 Aston Palicte last September 8 which is held at Inglewood, California and won. Nietes has a record of 41 wins 1 lose and 5 draws 23 KOs.
Ioka is the WBO number 3. His last fight was with McWilliams Arroyo and won via unanimous decision. Ioka has a record of 23 wins 1 lose 13 KOs
On the other hand, Francisco Valcarcel, WBO president already gave an order to give Palicte a fight and it would be a world rated. Whoever wins on that match will fight against whoever wins between Nietes vs Ioka.
The fight would be hard for Nietes because his opponent is young, fast and strong. Nietes will use his experience against this young fighter and doesn't think that his age would be a disadvantage
