After seeing a few people on Steemit talking about and investing in the No Limit Coin (NLC2), and playing fantasy football through No Limit Fantasy Sports where you can wager these coins, I decided to follow their lead and pick up some coins as an investment, though I did want to play a little to see how the platform was... call it due diligence ;)
I have been playing fantasy football and other fantasy sports with some buddies for many years, and I consider myself a mediocre fantasy player. I don't have the time to dedicate to knowing all the players, catching all the games and following the latest news so I usually run middle of the pack. In fact, this year i was DEAD LAST in our fantasy football league!! (though I did miss the draft and got robo picks I wasn't too happy with)
This week was the first week I competed in a fantasy football contest through No Limit Fantasy Sports... and I completely dominated!!!
I played two "double up" competitions where the top half made double their money, less the house fee, and one "triple up" competition where the top 3 out of 9 teams tripled their money, less the house fee. I made one team and entered the 3 competitions with the same team... I ended up in first place in each competition!
The platform is still adding different fantasy sport options, and it seems to still be in beta mode. The coins are trading in the mid 30 cent range at the moment, and the market cap is approximately $75M.
Some of the reasons I have made this investment include, the continued popularity of daily fantasy sports, the potential user growth, the current crypto craze, the ability to launch mainstream to create demand for the coin, and the low market cap, I think this is a good investment right now and will be periodically adding to build a bigger position.

I had to open a Cryptopia account and transfer in some BTC. Then I converted it to NLC2. I then transferred some into the No Limit Fantasy Sports site to play some of the contests, but am just holding most in the Cryptopia wallet. Good luck!

you can buy it straight from the No limit site now I believe. Also Yobit is a smaller exchange which also supports the coin!

I periodically play a lot of fantasy sports on fanduel depending on where I am stationed in the country at the time. Do they have all sports?

Not all sports- they only have active right now football, hockey and soccer. Coming soon is shown as baseball, basketball, mma. I think they need to expand faster- no reason golf and nascar shouldn’t be listed as coming soon, among other sports.

Awesome job man, I did my first fantasy football league this year and I ended in 8th of 12 I’m happy I didn’t end dead last.... my team tho didn’t show up till after week 5 I was 0-4 then started to win a few more

I made the playoffs in my fantasy league, but then Carson Wentz got hurt, and I tanked. But, this sounds like fun. I'll have to look into them.

This is interesting stuff @brian.rrr I didn't realize their was a coin like this. I'm nervous with crypto but a decent fantasy player in leagues. I like the prospects of the coin because you're right, fantasy will continue to grow. I'm going to look into this one.

I hadn't heard of NLFS. Makes sense that with all the "new" technology of blockchains that someone would make a betting site that used crypto currency.
Some of the other projects that I'm excited about and could even be merged with something like this are the user-controlled sports teams. You buy the tokens and based on how much influence you have you can call plays and the real team actually runs the play.
Think about what that would be like if you had the ability to control what plays were called and you controlled the players for fantasy leagues. You could clean up!
