Philadelphia Eagles Defeat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 41-33 to Win the Super Bowl!

Have you ever suffered through agonizing loss after loss and finally, broken out and won? Well, that's what just happened with my Philadelphia Eagles besting the New England Patriots to win our very first Super Bowl! Think of the Boston Red Sox, The Cleveland Cavaliers or The Chicago Cubs long drought between championships. Much respect to the Patriots fans and the team with such a winning history. Philadelphia and the State of Pennsylvania can now celebrate this victory many thought they would never live to see.

I still can't believe we won

If you've ever fought through adversity and defeated an overwhelming opponent, you know exactly what I mean. I just wanted to quickly share this moment with my amazing Steemit family. Winning the big game is one thing, but doing it against the premier team in Football makes this so much sweeter. If you're a fan of a long-suffering team, I hope you find victory in sports as well as in life.

    I have suffered through loss after agonizing loss, and even again this year. I am a life long Vikings fan. I know loss. I am happy for the Eagles though. Better to lose in the playoffs to the eventual champs than a team that didn't win the Super Bowl. Congrats.

      When Carson Wentz went down, with Philly's bad luck we thought we were done. I was in a room full of angry Eagles fans screaming at Nick Foles on TV as his replacement (Eagles fans are harsh). No one had any faith in him taking us anywhere at the time. I can tell you that everyone here was resigned to a loss to the Vikings and the consensus was "at least the Vikings will make it to the big game" we were all planning to root for them. Your team is very talented, they will get it done. :)

        Congratulations on your win! That was a heck of a game. Foles did a great job on that last drive of driving down and getting the touchdown. And the defense getting that fumble? A-mazing! I was on the edge of my seat the whole game.

        Too bad the halftime show was terrible. The music sounded like Justin Timberlake songs that had been recorded by some kid 10 years ago on a cassette were being played back with him occasionally singing over the track.

        Thank you so much, we really needed that win. After decades of loss after loss I can tell you, everyone here was dreading facing Tom Brady and The Pats. I could barely watch the game as we all feared the worst. When I was told the score was 15-3, I asked: "did you say 50-3?" Because that's about the only margin I felt comfortable we could hold. 15-3? against Brady? hell, we might as well have been behind 2 touchdowns. lol!

        I was so happy for Cleveland when they won the NBA Championship, they really deserved it. We will savor this win for a long time.
