I like Jason Kelce, and it's always difficult for me when the Bills play the Eagles.

I am, and always will be, a Bills fan; but, I was born in Philly, and I'll always like the Eagles.

Still, Kelce calling for Jordan Phillips to be fined is freaking stupid.

To start, players really shouldn't be calling other players to lose money outside of absolutely egregious behavior -- like when Miles Garrett hit Mason Rudolph over the head with Rudolph's own helmet.

Phillips simply jumped the snap, and a 330 pound man doesn't stop on a dime.

The most important thing though is that, seriously Kelce, you're calling for defenses to do stuff like this. The tush push is an effective play of borish violence against defenses. You've gotta expect borish violence in, ya know, defense of the play.

You can't just expect opposing teams to accept that you're gonna get three yards on every 3rd or 4th and 1.

If anything, I'll expect that other coaches with more questionable moral values, like Sean Payton or Pete Carroll, to start telling their defenses to jump the count intentionally and see if they can hurt a couple of Eagles players in the process. Why not just give the Eagles a couple extra yards and take a lineman out for the rest of the game?

I'm all for keeping the tush push as a legal play. I'm in no way supporting teams telling their defenders to jump the snap and dive at the Eagles players knees.

I'm simply stating what should be the obvious. You can't expect opposing teams to just let you win. They're gonna meet force with force. That's the only way to stop the play.
