#139 Lavar and Sons.... Where is Lavar Ball on the Famous Dad Scale? Is Lavar Ball a Horrible Dad Or a Great 1?

Do you have kids? I don’t. Have your kids ever got caught stealing? I can’t relate because I’m not a thief but maybe you can. Lavar Ball is the boasting, big-mouthed father of the 3 Ball basketball twins. I didn’t like Lavar Ball at 1st. Before I continue do me a favor folks…stop disliking famous people you may never meet.

Him being so boisterously brash and outspoken makes him mentioned as much if not more than his boys. It helps his kids because it makes the media report on him rather than the issues of his kids.

There’s a lot of drama in the Ball family. Lonzo is having a rough rookie year, LiAngelo almost got stuck in Chinese jail, and Lamelo was pulled abruptly out of his high school and I’m not sure that he is playing during the high school season. I personally think its an embarrassment that CNN had Lavar up there for nearly half an hour. As known ratings whores FOX, MSNBC, CBS, ESPN, etc. brought this man up there to draw ratings, it is common knowledge people are cutting their cable/satellite services in favor of internet. Not only is internet cheaper, you have ultimate control of whatever you watch not including suggestions and targeted ads/trending topics online.

Lavar was dismissive of Trump and was criticized for doing so. Trump is known to use black people for photo ops to look like he cares about "inner city" struggles. Trump cares for no mans struggles but his own btw in my opinion. Lavar has now forced his son LiAngelo out of the school (the son who was stealing in China). He withdrew his other son, Lamelo, from Chino Hills High School before their season. The sons are now playing in Lithuania. They looked great in their 1st game against the secondary team of who they played.

They both didn’t score in their next game against true Lithuanian pros.

Know that they each only played 5 minutes each.

In their last game against pros, they Liangelo and Lamelo combined for 60 points. They play again today January 17th.

Of all the sports dads, I enjoy Lavar putting his kids first creating all these opportunities for his kids. He didn’t pull his kids out of school to make them shoot in the backyard. He crafted a league in a foreign country for them and is working towards an amateur league to rival the D-league (its the gleague but I refuse to officially acknowledge it as such) and college basketball.

For decades college basketball has been called out for the “pimping” of the student-athlete. Paying coaches millions of dollars, generating millions for the school and not paying any of the students a paycheck. I believe it’s evil they ban the kids from running a business while playing a sport while making money off their backs. Lavar’s league may be the one to shake the landscape of the amateur basketball world and he seems to have the chops to pull it off. The boastful, loudmouth father of 3 seems to take action on everything he says he will do.

Do you give a shit about Lavar and sons?

Do you find it funny when female reporters constantly repeat Ball over and over or emphasize “the Balls” when calling their family name? I personally don’t care much for simple baseline jokes like that. Tell me what you think.
