The New York Yankees started the season with a 21-9 record and are first place in the AL East. The young talent on the team is providing fans with an excitement they haven't seen in years. Will 2017 be the next 1998 for the Yankees?
Aaron Judge, the Yankees rookie Right Fielder is batting .317 with 13 home runs and knocked in 28 RBIs. He is on pace to shatter records by Rookie Players throughout MLB history. As it is, Judge stands 6'7" and weighs 282 pounds, making him the largest position player in baseball history. Veteran ballplayers and Hall-of-Famers around the league have touted Judge's talent, claiming he is something like they have never seen before. Many are even comparing Judge to the next Derek Jeter.
It will be exciting to see if the Yankees can keep their momentum into the season. Right now they are by far the hottest team in baseball.
I saw a stat the other day that past Yankees teams with this type of start went on to win the World Series most of the time.

This team is just flat out exciting. If all goes well, we will be a force to be reckoned with for quite a while.
