Luck VS Judgement - A Trixie Challenge - Day 4

in sports •  6 years ago

Funny how these little patterns can emerge in such a short space of time. Yesterday, for the second day in a row, my first horse rolled in and @happyaslarry’s final horse did the business. The other four, all short priced favourites don’t forget, all failed to live up to their collective pre-race billing. Quite however, what occurrences like this mean in the grand scheme of things, I am at a loss to explain.

Today I have gone back to slightly longer priced horses as both Luck and myself look to get some money back. Baratineur looks a decent shout with Richard Johnson on board in a wide open contest. Night Of Sin gets my nod mostly thanks to the booking of my new favourite jockey Lizzie Kelly. She has ridden this horse on many occasions and I fancy her to give good ride at Ludlow this afternoon. Lastly, I am back to Chepstow for a punt on Sandhurst Lad, another Johnson ride, and a horse with a massive ten tips behind it from the dailies, surely all those paid experts can’t be wrong? Can they??

For the first time Luck has been saddled with some proper long shots so it should be an interesting day...

Here’s @happyaslarry in economical mood on today’s selections:
