The goal of this competition is to raise awareness of global childhood homelessness. Its stars are orphans and they have been left with their parents or have come from extreme poverty.

It has traveled to Brazil since its launch in South Africa in 2010 and now it is Russia's country of about 55,000 registered orphans. They are away from this country as Bolivia, Liberia, countries of the former Soviet Union and its United States. This Street Child World Cup has traditionally organized its elder brother in the host country of the World Cup a month before highlighting the global social issue of youth homelessness.
