I don't understand cricket

Cricket is beyond my mental ability. I cannot understand the game. I am not a sports loving person. Sadly, I am married into a sports loving family that is mad for cricket. For them cricket is a religion and I am a complete misfit.

My husband's family including my co sister and his mother are great cricket fans who would forget their lunch and dinners if they have a match airing on the telivision. My husband and his family are not maniacs. Entire India loves cricket. I don't know what makes cricket superior to other sports. Personally I feel, cricket is overrated.

My son loves sports, but he doesn't like the idea of sitting idle at one single place for hours and watch others play, he would rather play it himself.

My husband didn't know that I hated cricket until it was too late. He never had the idea that anyone could not love cricket because he had never met someone like me before. He jokes that if he knew earlier he would never get married to me.

He played for his University cricket team and had few newspaper cuttings that featured him. He once proudly showed me his achievement and I didn't treat them as achievements. I didn't know how to react and my reactions we're genuine. He was upset about it. He wanted me to pretend to be super happy. 😂

Once he was at work and wanted me to tell him the scores very much like his sis in law told his brother. I told him that I didn't know where the scores were, he hung up on me and called his sis in law, who was already informed about the scored and helped him in split seconds.

It has been 12+ years and we don't discuss cricket. I take kids away when there is a match so that he can watch it in peace. 😂

There are only a handful of people in India who likes sports but not Cricket.
It is widely popular game in India due to its versatility.
It doesn’t need a proper cricket ground. It can be played anywhere. It doesn’t need proper gears to play and most importantly it doesn’t necessarily need a whole team to play, only two children can also play on the street.

I love cricket very much. Its my favourite game. Anfd there showing virat kohli. He is one of my favourite player
