Today we learned that the face of THE Ohio State Football Team, Urban Meyer, has been lying to us for years. Am I surprised? Hell no. But he needs to be held accountable.
One of Meyer's coaches is a wife beater, and Meyer knew about it the whole time. But it was not until the third offense that he finally fired him a couple weeks ago. How pathetic.
Text messages of Meyer's wife along with other wives of coaches were discovered that prove Meyer knew about the previous beating that his assistant coach was putting on his wife. There are also gruesome pictures.
But will THE Ohio State University put football over doing what is right? I won't hold my breath. Cheers!
Damn - I hadn't even heard about this yet... Terrible, but I'm with you and won't hold my breath over them actually doing the right thing. They used Maurice Clarrett to win a b.s. Natl Title (they lost that game to Miami - bailed out by a b.s phantom PI penalty) and then discarded him and treated him like crap when things went south, and couldn't even fire Jim Tressel after it was clear that he had known about his players violating NCAA rules for years... Obviously supporting a known woman-abuser is far worse than not reporting your players involvement in a merchandise scheme. Unfort, I have a feeling that THE Ohio State will handle it the same way...
