Last week, it was 2018 National Hockey Card Day here in Canada!
It’s like Christmas for hockey card collectors like myself! There are giveaways, sales, and prizes galore! This year, I got lucky and won a Kailer Yamamoto 2017 Draft Day Autographed Hat!
There’s a store here in Edmonton called Wayne’s Sports Cards. On National Hockey Card Day, they have a balloon pop game. They stick a slip of paper in a balloon, and blow it up, and post it on their wall. For every $50 you spend in the store, you get a balloon to pop, up to a maximum of 5. In my balloons, I got lucky and got one of the best prizes in the store, the Yamamoto hat pictured above!
Overall, it was a good day for me in 2018! Wish me luck next year in 2019!
