Many will tell you that this season is one of the toughest seasons the Patriots have had in a long time. Injuries, mental health issues, father time, team-chemistry the list goes on and on. Edelman is recovering from an leg injury (2017-18 injury). Rob Gronkowski is a shell of himself (multiple career injuries). Tom Brady is getting old (41 years old). Josh Gordon is out for the rest of the season (mental health reasons). The defense is the worst it has been ever in the Bill Belichick's Era. With that said, another New England Patriots' trip to the AFC Championship Game. The Patriots defeated the Chargers 41-28. Tom Brady threw for 348 yards and one touchdowns. Julian Edelman caught 9 balls for 151 yards. Philip Rivers threw for 331 yards, 3 touchdowns and one interception in a Chargers loss. The Patriots use the running game to gain momentum early and Tom Brady took over from there. Sony Michel lead the Pats in rushing with 129 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. Wow, the Patriots have made it to 8 straight AFC Championship games. You have to respect how Tom and the Patriots do it year in and year out. Not easy to do at all. Kudos to the Chargers for a great season. The Patriots are once again, one game away for a trip to the SuperBowl. So who you got? Patriots or Chiefs in the AFC Championship game?
