Why I am Confident of Continued Growth in Sports Talk Social

in sportstalk •  5 years ago

I tend to play slow and steady and am VERY cautious about going "all in" on anything. I'm not the type to power everything up nor am I the type to be too rapidly excited or over zealous of a project until I see how it progresses over time. That being said a lot of people are very down about the rather extended Bear market and in crypto and especially alt coins in general. It's easy to remember the boom and busts of 2017-now. It's also easy to forget that Rome wasn't built in a day and that most projects in crypto do fail. I focus on the ones with potential that are showing healthy growth. Sports Talk has consistently been in the top 10-20 of the SE tokens and I believe is averaging around 500 new accounts a week at this point! That's pretty impressive given the fact that many of the tokens are falling on their faces and it's a rather bloated list to look through with a lot doing little to no volume.

When you feel down about Crypto.... Just watch this mind blowing little number

There are issues on every single platform but this one tends to nip it in the bud quicker than others and there are some discord channels where people can promote their work and also vent about whatever issues they feel like venting about. The nine month power down on powering up is smart to prevent too much 'dumping' while there is a rather healthy amount of hodl and trading going on. This is just my personal opinion and observation.

I'm very proud of the these community praises! :) As always if there's anything I can do to improve this please, please let me know and I'll beg those smarter than I to do it for us! :)

You've been doing a great job @patrickulrich and I have a strong belief that Sports is going to do fine among other tribes

Just hoping to see more updates coming

It has more potential than the other ones in my opinon. I am going to do more of my telegram game content once we are done bug squashing. So so close.

there are a handful that have some meat to them but time will tell for sure. Congrats on all your work you've been doing btw, am stoked!

Smart lady. Always has been for as long as I have known here these past two years. I am paying attention.

Thank you kindly Sir, regardless of what anyone thinks or doesn't think....you make marks and that's what matters and also the fact you give like two figs what anyone thinks , Gemini power

From you my love, that is indeed great praise. Anyone that knows @battleaxe or her alter ego @miryam knows I consider this great praise.

<~~~ @ancapbarbie

G-D bless you little girl.

Still finding my place here.

There are certainly things I like and lots I don't. Not so much about SportsTalk but just with steem in general.

But like you said, there's pros and cons with everything. I'm certainly hanging about to see what happens.

Happy to have you here @jon.bonomo! What are some of the things you don't care for in Steem? It gives me better insight on how we can improve #sportstalk in comparison.

Rant below. Sorry.

User interface, intuitiveness, steep learning curve, and general frustrating experience.

It's pretty telling that there are so many 3rd party sites aimed at improving the users experience. Vanilla steam is almost unusable. So many things like notifications, @ mentions, and so on should be baked-in.

Why no text editor? Using the markdown style guide in a pain now that so many other sites use text editors. Scorum is such a better blogging experience, having an editor, being able to save multiple draft posts, etc. Lots of missing blogging features on steem.

Content discovery is difficult here. So many bots and spam. It's all about in-groups etc. As a new user coming to the platform, you are bombarded by auto-spam comments about this group, and that group, and etc, etc. Everything seems forced and not much organic natural discovery compared to something like reddit.

I'm not trying to be critical. Just honest. I've blogged and published on lots of different platforms over the years. Joining steem a month ago has probably been the most frustrating experience out of them all.

In short: the site is hard to navigate, nothing is where you think it should be, and the site seems so bloated. All this leads to a steep learning curve and unpleasant experience. Combine that with so much spam both in comments and posts and it makes for a hard time.

I really do like idea of steem. I just wish the overall experience was easier and more intuitive.

It's been over two years for me and I've gone through more clubs, guilds, communities then I can count. I just consider myself a free agent and not held unto any clique ...... I left High School awhile ago, lmfao
There are def pros and cons and they are pretty easy to see within a short time on Steemit and all the offshoots and such

Definitely a fan of SportstalkSocial. My favorite of all the tribes, and the one I've put the most work into promoting and creating content.

Thank you for all that you continue to do @reverendrum! :) Happy to have you all on-board!

your posts are one of a kind and you're one of the best writers on here hands down
