Messi has always been a great player when playing for Barcelona, he has won countless awards and broken and set do many records that won't be best any time soon. Yet his country form. As always been questionable and he hasn't done anything to make those questions stop.
Truth be told, Messi has no excuse for his country failing countless time to bring a trophy home but he shouldn't bear the blame alone regardless. Although when things go their way, Messi gets all the praise, but this is normal has he is probably or arguably the best player the world have ever seen seen.
People always expect him to the magic he does for Barcelona at Argentina too but he always look out of sorts while playing for Argentina.

They are always quick to blame Messi when things fall apart instead of providing support to motivate the players. But they start trying to put him down all this affects players and Messi ain't immune to any of this.

Messi is surrounded by great players in the Argentina squad and yet none takes the mantle when Messi is down or out of sorts. The over dependence is too much and sometimes it weigh ls even a great player like Messi down.

Messi could also blame himself. Being one of the best player ever, it's only normal and rational for fans, team mate to depend on you to spring up surprises now and then to win matches on his own. He has been Doing it for Barcelona, why not doing it for Argentina and win them an international trophy. His lack of not delivering the final goods its a cross he has to bear on his own also.
With that said, Messi failed Argentina again in this year concaf 2019. Having been beaten by Brazil who are lacking their star man in "neymar", who is injured.

Messi has always been spectacular for his club side and woeful for the country side but that doesn't make him less of a great players, not wining an international tittle doesn't define his wonderful football career and his legend status
