Leicester City set a new record with a landslide victory over Southampton 9-0 on Friday in the opening of the tenth stage of the English Premier League.
Leicester City became the highest-placed winners in the history of the competition, breaking the previous record for Manchester United, who beat Nottingham Forest 8-1 in February 1999.
Spaniard Ayuzi Perez took the lead and scored three goals in the 19th, 39th and 57th minutes, as did Jimmy Varde in the last minute of the first half, 58th minute and fourth minute of stoppage time.
The rest of the game came from defender Ben-Shelwell in the 10th minute and Belgian Yuri Telemance in the 17th minute and James Madison in the 85th minute.
Leicester City have 20 points in second place, waiting for the rest of the matches, while Southampton are eighth in 18th.
