The Jamaican Usain Bolt who has been targeting a football career for the past few years is reported to be a choice to the Australian club the Central Coast Mariners.
The eight times Olympic gold medal winner retired from Olympic games following the last year's IAAF World Championships that took place in London, and he has since then, been training with different football clubs.
Reports took it up on Tuesday that the 31 year old will join them at the A-League for a six week trial with the Central Coast Mariners and will be offered a better and subsequent offer based on his performance.
"It is confirmed that we are in talk with Bolt. He will be given the chance to try his football career here, the fastest man in the world deserves the opportunity." The Mariners' spokesperson said in a statement.
