Barcelona today thrashed Real Madrid in the El Clasico with Luis Suarez bagging a hat-trick to give the Blaugrana a deserved victory. Barcelona who were without Lionel Messi outplayed the three time consecutive European Champions. Real Madrid on their part were without Cristiano Ronaldo for the clasico after the Portuguese superstar left Madrid from Juventus this season. I was a match between the Spanish Champions each without their five time Ballon D’Or winners. Barcelona proved what Madrid are really without Ronaldo and what Barcelona are without the Argentine.
The Uruguayan forward lead the Blaugrana to victory scoring three goals. This hat-trick from Suarez is the latest hat-trick in an El Clasico with the last coming from Romario in 1994. Suarez stepped up for Barcelona in the absences of Messi who was out injured from their last two games against Sevilla.
It was a 5-1 demolishing with the firstgol coming in the 11th minute from Philippe Coutinho; next was a penalty converted by Suarez in the half-hour mark. Marcelo drew one back for the European Champions but that was all for them as Barcelona added three from Suarez who struck two more and Arturo Vidal one.
