The England international made an emotional revelation and said that the doctor had told him he would never play football again. The player had his leg broken while playing for Everton and he revealed he had broken his bones in three places. He said there were moments where he doubted he was ever going to return to the field to play again especially after what the doctor has told him.
Barkley the revealed that he cried everyday and that his mum was the one always consoling him and telling him to have hope. The player would later go on to recover from the broken bones and i's now a regular starter for Chelsea and England. He said that during the period, the lads were always in support of him and that he will never forget how the crowds cheered the very first time he came back after being off for a very long time.
Barkley added that dreams sometimes needed more than the dreamer. He said that nobody achieves a dream alone.
