Bob Myers, the general manager of the Golden State Warriors has stated his intention to begin swift negotiations which will see the resigning of Kevin Durant, two time reigning NBA Finals MVP.
Also expected to be part of the resigning negotiations and agreements is the coach of the team, Steve Kerr.
Myers has said that he is prepared to give him whatever he wants and the player could sign for as long as 4 years which will put no less than $160 million in his pockets.
Myers was very appreciative of the service Durant had offered for the, in the past few years and he noted that he had definitely earned the right to ask for whatever deal he may want.
He also added that there are some players whom you just do not need to negotiate with.
Durant won’t mind staying on, especially after bringing home a pair of championships just within his first two seasons with the Warriors.
With one-year remaining on his original five year contract, Kerr would be receiving a multiyear extension and would love to coach the Warriors for as long as possible.
