The second round of the Wimbledon competition saw Guido Pella achieve the biggest win of his career thus becoming the favourite of Argentinians.
His win on that day was something even he himself noted that he had been looking to achieve, but never expected to we it come to fulfillment against one of the favorites at the Wimbledon.
Plea, who is current world No. 82 and with no titles to his name, went on to defeat Marin Cilic, big serving third seed to see him with a 3-6 1-6 6-4 7-6(3) 7-5 at the second round of the ongoing tournament in Wimbledon.
Croatian's Cilic who had been hoping to achieve victory to see him through to a second consecutive final had his hopes dashed by Pella.
Speaking after the match, Pella noted that he had been looking forward to the win but didn't expect it to come at the Wimbledon and against Cilic.
The 28 year old who hails from Bahia Blanca also added that for years past now, he had deserved to get such a win and he still couldn't believe it even after he defeated Cilic.
The left hander equally noted that the great result he achieved was because of the adequate preparations he had done as regards the match.
