It's SPUD7, everybody!

in spud •  5 years ago  (edited)

The nanowrimo site is kind of a mess ... I have had major trouble doing my daily updates. I just try to keep it really simple on there, because time frustrated is time not writing ... I will be putting out my writing for it on Steem starting next week ... Captain Hamilton is back in the saddle on a really, really tough case ...

No hurry on the review -- do that when you can, and thanks in advance!

Good to know I am not the only one. Took me three days to figure out how/where to leave my daily update. I gave up on it. I do not care about badges or buddies, here is fine too. Speak you later, today it is hard enough to write, only half away I think. 💕

The badges and buddies are overrated ... but remember: most writers don't know about THIS. Not yet ... but maybe someday soon ...

@deeanndmathews I noticed I earned a batch 4 days ago, it did not show yesterday. I wrote nearly 30k and no more badges plus I could not find the site back with the overview of the words I wrote a day. I saw a message from someone who said no longer to be my mentor/coach or whatsoever (never knew I had one or asked for one). I said I do not need a buddy either a pep talk. They are all the same. I never have a writer's block only a lack of time and privacy. I don't think it will stimulate me if I need to encourage someone who can not write because of (being afraid??)

I noticed there are write-ins in the Netherlands but I am not interested in hearing their issues either. Perhaps they should start free writing first or walk on their self-esteem. There is a reader for each book you just need to reach that person and have some luck plus promote yourself. Happy writing. ❤️

I meant that most writers don't know about Steem yet ... NaNoWriMo is something that still needs a few bugs worked out... I got that letter from the writing coach I idn't know I had either...

@deeanndmathews many writers left steem. I doubt this is the greatest meeting point for writers. Who knows in.10 uears. Happy day 💕

No, but at least it functions reasonably well, and a writer who is prolific and personable can do well here. In ten years .... it will be whatever we can make of it!

@deeanndmathews I hope it will be. I don't think I will still be there/alive in ten years but it might help others. Happy writing day. 💕

P.s. You do not join NaNoWriMo?
Have you noticed your book/kindle it's page numbering is messed up. It has over 3100 pages. 😁

3100 pages? I think that's clickable locations ... I have seen that before, but the table of contents seems to work ... I know I wrote a lot, but gee, 3,100 pages ... that's like a couple of years' output ...

Yep, I did NaNoWriMo -- completed my novel on the 21st, but just didn't post up here as I went because I was just starting The Posture of Innocence. But, here is what I wrote from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3, with Nov. 4-5 work to be posted up later today:

The Field of Blood, part 1
The Field of Blood, part 2

The idea here is that the optimum number of times to post per day is four times (if SteemitBoard's badge system is a correct gauge). The Posture of Innocence provides two, and The Field of Blood provides two more through the end of November -- 19 parts, so, ten days of posts.
