I only downvote reposts if they're plagiarizing. you will never stop posts of good news, and I would not downvote them.

sometimes people flock when they see a few upvotes and then the masses follow unfortunately. If we don't take action...it will just be repost after repost clogging up the views and no way for anyone to see the real, quality content.
I'm not blaming you or anything here, as you're also raising the issue with the reposts but what I'm saying is that if we don't take any action...it will be like not going to vote when you have elections in your country. You leave the power to others and suffer the consequences.
Instead of reposting, people could upvote the original post and give the first guy credit for it. if they really want to share the good news, hell, throw in a comment as well. If it's good and ads new info, it'll get upvoted as well so they get money as well.
