Today was voting day here in the States. There wasn't a lot on my ballot; just the mayor, some local council offices, and a proposal for extra funding for city parks. I would expect that voter turnout will end up being fairly low, since there are no major national races. But really, you have much more control and influence by voting in your local races, instead of the national or state ones. So I'd encourage you to do your research, and be informed about what's going on in your city.
