St. Vitus Cathedral

St. Vitus Cathedral is a Gothic Cathedral, located in the heart of Prague Citadel. The Cathedral was constructed in 1334, when the ministerial office of Prague was raised to the rank of Archbishopric. Emperor Charles IV (Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire), predestined the Cathedral to be the crowning ritual place, a tomb for him and for his family. Today, the Cathedral is available to the tourists, as one of Prague's most popular sites. The passage via the repository of prayers, incorporates a visit to the Royal Crypt and toward the southern bell tower, which offers an overwhelming view of Prague.
