It was another exciting Tuesday on the @stach-dsw show with host @winarobert and his beautiful co-host @julietisrael, the topic for the night was I Quit.
All the contestants from @francistagbo to @mizdais to @MoMoGrOw to @apeximomen and the rest of the lot brought their A Game and the entries were a hit back to back, but with every contest there has to be a winner. And the winner for the night was @francistagbo, Congratulations Bro you deserved the accolade.
Also I mustn't fail to acknowledge our surprise guest of the evening, which was non other than the master of the oldies, the benevolent @surfyogi, as if that wasn't enough he blessed the show with a contribution to the prize. Thanks sir for your kindness, can't wait for the day you'll actually participate.
So my entry for the show, is the piece below. Hope you enjoy it!
Is it really real or but an illusion
Am I truly alive
or am I a puppet in someone's game
What is my purpose?
Is there a reason I am here
Is there something I ought to be doing
Should I serve a purpose
Or am I just matter
What is the future?
Is there really a future
Or will I sleep today never to wake
Would that be okay?
Who am I?
Am I but my father's son
Is there more to me than this
Would I ever truly know
Here I go again
Thinking about things I don't understand
And things I can't change
With my fists clinched
I stand to my feet
And say enough
Enough of these thoughts
Thoughts that serve no purpose
They only cause hurt and sadness
I deserve to be happy
Once again I say enough
I quit!
